2018 HTX Youth Summit

Real talk on real issues with really good free pupusas.

Join us at the second annual #HTXYouthSummit, an event for inner city youth to meet and discuss the most pressing issues facing their neighborhoods. Our goal is to promote local activism amongst young Houstonians, equip them with foundational knowledge on the systemic urban injustices happening around them, and provide an inclusive space for them to learn, collaborate, and organize. This year's #HTXYouthSummit will be exploring specfically how Hurricane Harvey affected local movements involving criminal justice, education, equitable housing, immigration, and public health.

This event is an intensive half-day experience filled with educational presentations, poetic performances, and networking opportunities. By the end of it, we hope you will be better aware of what is going on in this city and what you can do to fight for urban justice.

This event is free admission; there will also be free food catered by a local Salvadorean resturant and a local coffee shop.

**Registration REQUIRED:
**The #HTXYouthSummit is striving to make this event accessible for all. There will be an ASL interpreter for the scheduled speakers. If you need further accommodation or have dietary restrictions, please email us at
